WE'RE HERE TO HELP PEOPLE LIVE DIFFERENTLY ON PURPOSE
Build the Balance began with a question: What if life didn’t have to feel this hard?
Our founder, Aleisha Agard, had spent years chasing the expectations of success—high performance, over-functioning, overgiving—until her body said no more. What followed wasn’t a breakdown. It was a turning point.

From that moment came the work: years of reflection, in-depth research, coaching, systems building, and healing. And from that work came this company: a space where real-life support meets strategy, and where people are empowered to live with clarity and compassion for themselves.

Today, Build the Balance is a life design and well-being company that helps people create a better way of living. We offer soft structure for busy lives, practical tools for overwhelmed minds, and personalized support for people who are ready to live more intentionally.

We’re not just helping people start fresh, we’re helping them reclaim the life they already have, and reshape it to fit.
here is what we believe
1
Life doesn’t need to be managed through chaos
2
You don’t need more willpower—you need better systems
3
Time and energy are sacred resources
4
Productivity isn’t a badge—it’s a form of care
5
You don’t need to change who you are—you just need systems that work with you
6
Balance isn’t a myth—it’s a practice

CHIEF BALANCE OFFICER
My journey has been one of resilience, transformation, and a deep commitment to redefining what success truly means.
At the height of my career in marketing, advertising, and business consulting, I was a powerhouse, pushing myself to work 80-100 hours a week in pursuit of success as it was defined by society. On the outside, I appeared to have it all, but behind the scenes, I was sacrificing something far more essential: my well-being.

In 2012, my unbalanced lifestyle finally caught up with me. A severe health crisis forced me to stop everything. My body, exhausted from years of overwork, simply couldn’t keep up. This abrupt halt began a decade-long journey of healing and self-discovery. I began to understand that true success wasn’t measured by how much I worked or achieved but by how well my life aligned with my values, my health, and my purpose.

Determined to reshape my life, I immersed myself in learning about productivity, self-care, and systems development. I earned certifications as a health and life coach and deepened my understanding of how to live a life of balance. I came to realize that balance wasn’t a fixed destination; it was an ongoing, evolving journey. This new perspective became the foundation for my work and my mission to help others avoid the same burnout that had affected me so profoundly.

In 2022, I founded Build the Balance—a company dedicated to heart-centered productivity and holistic life management. Through Build the Balance, I support individuals, entrepreneurs, and families, helping them reclaim control of their lives and build sustainable balance. We offer tailored services, including business strategies, life flow management, personalized coaching, and workshops—all designed to help clients build systems that allow them to thrive both professionally and personally.

My journey has shown me that success isn’t about relentless hustle; it’s about achieving meaningful goals while honoring your well-being. I’ve seen firsthand how we can challenge the glorification of burnout and redefine productivity as a compassionate, sustainable practice. My story, from burnout to breakthrough, is now my mission—to inspire and support others in rethinking their approach to productivity and embracing a balanced life that brings peace, purpose, and fulfillment.
Through Build the Balance, I’m not just building a business—I’m leading a movement toward balance, well-being, and meaningful productivity, one life at a time.

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
After spending four years as a Mechanical Engineer, I was feeling stuck in a cycle of stress, drowning at work, and unable to make time for myself that I needed. Bringing in some self-awareness, I began to pay attention to myself and the person behind the job. From a birds-eye view, I was repeating the same patterns, feeling the same way each day. I decided to take time to evaluate what I was doing and how I felt; I needed to change. Little did I know, I was beginning my journey to balance then, and it was during this shift that I crossed paths with Aleisha.

As the Director of Operations at Build the Balance, I utilize my organizational skills and ability to grasp complex problems. My ability to listen and see people where they’re at allows me to offer reflective and comprehensive solutions. I've always had a vision of helping people, and this is my way into that. I’m committed to supporting you in your development, and I look forward to the opportunity to help you develop a sustainable balance both personally and professionally.

I'm thrilled to be a part of the Build the Balance (BTB) team, joining in phase three of my life journey. After serving 24 years in the military, I retired as a veteran. But that wasn't the end of my story. I pursued my passion by earning a Master's in Social Work and diving into helping at-risk individuals, especially children and young adults. On top of that, I've been a foster parent for an incredible 22 years, specializing in adolescent girls and teen moms.

Now, here's the plot twist. A few years back, I had an epiphany about the importance of balance. Juggling all my responsibilities, I realized I needed better strategies to get things done without sacrificing one thing for another. Procrastination wasn't cutting it for my productivity. So, I drew upon my extensive career and life experiences to create new systems and tools for myself.

When my amazing daughter, Aleisha, invited me to join the BTB Team, I knew I had found my calling in planning and development. After all, balance starts with effective planning. Now, I use all my handy tools to help our team and clients conquer their weekly tasks, discover fresh solutions, and set realistic expectations for success.
STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT

Hi there, I'm Rhiannon, a recent college graduate who believes in the power of self-care as a cornerstone for caring for others. Dance has been my sanctuary, where I blend movement and mindfulness to find solace and rejuvenate my spirit.
Alongside my passion for dance, I'm an enthusiastic traveler, constantly seeking adventure and enlightenment through immersion in diverse cultures and forging connections worldwide.
To me, balance is being able to take care of the necessary and important things in life while at the same time creating space in your life for the things that bring you peace and happiness. I am constantly learning new things from my surroundings and people around me, while also being organized and detail-oreinted. In simple terms, I'm all about finding the right groove between discovering myself and helping others.
